Whoa!

First, I am so sorry that I have been MIA for over a week.  This girl was hit with something out of this world.  I am still sick, going on day 9 now!  Luckily I have been on an antibiotic now since Saturday.  But seriously, can this please leave my body!
This is what my life has consisted off for almost 10 days now...

Talk about Christmas spirit, I am sporting the Rudolph look.  My nose is so raw and red it hurts!  I think I have gone through 10 boxes of Kleenex.  And why is it that when I blow my nose at school my kids will stop and turn to watch me.  I do not watch them blow their nose.  I guess it's just weird seeing your teacher blow her nose?

Next, antibiotic.  I suffered enough Thursday and Friday.  (Friday I felt like I had been hit by a semi truck) I went to the doctor on Saturday and they gave me some horse pills that they call Ammoxacilin (Spelling?)  They are huge and you have to eat with them.  Blah!

This has been my BFF since Saturday!!  They gave me a cough syrup/decongestant all rolled into one.  The doctor called it liquid vicodin!  I take 1 teaspoon full (That's is the dosage, so small I had Brent call the pharmacy to make sure that was correct) and I am out!  I sleep like a baby!  However, when I came back to work Tuesday I suffered because I could not take it at work, or the kids would have a napping teacher.
Next up, sleep!  I can not seem to get enough.  I am soooo tired.  I guess this cold/flu/sinusitis is taking it all out of me!  I can not stay awake for anything and I can not wake up in the mornings.  From Thursday -Monday all I did was sleep.  I would move from my bed to the couch back to my bed.  I could still be doing that now, but I have a little life brought back in me.  I still am not feeling 100%, but o well.
The doctor also gave me a steroid.  Talk about mood swings and hot flashes!!!  And did I mention, weight gain!  Holy moly, I think I have put on 10 lbs with those stupid pills!  Yesterday was my last dose of them and I was very happy!  At first the doctor wanted to give me a shot and I should have said yes, but I HATE needles.  However, if this stuff does not clear up by Thanksgiving, I guess it's back to the doctor I go!  My new nephew will be here December 6th and I can not still be sick!
So, as boring as this is, this is what my life has been like for the past 9 days.  I am sorry I have slacked on my 30 days of being thankful.  I am too far behind to try and catch up.  I hope everyone has a great weekend and I hope these boys get a deer TODAY...so we can be done with it!
