Florida or Bust

Well...we finally made it to Florida, safe and sound.  We left around 5:00 p.m. Friday and made it to Florida around 4:30 p.m. Saturday.....what a loooonnng car ride! 

  Here we are happy as can be packed inside my mom and dads car.  Yes, we have smiles on our faces, but we were still in mom and dads driveway!

 We make it to Carterville, IL and stopped for supper....then we were in for the long haul.  Our plan was to stop half way to get some sleep since check in at our condo wasn't until 3:00 p.m. Saturday.  Well, we FINALLY found hotel with a room available at 2:00 a.m.! We were wiped.  Then, it was NASTY!  I will not even go into details, but we were refunded some of our money and we high tailed it out of there before 9:00 a.m.  We stopped and had breakfast and we were on our way again....and it felt like we were in the car for days.  I swear Alabama was the never ending state.  We were so excited to see the Florida welcome center.  We walked in and had our free freshly squeezed orange juice...although it was out of a machine, was it really freshly squeezed?!? I do not think so!  But it was still fun to stop!  We hit Florida and we thought we were there...no we just kept driving and driving...but the end result...

AMAZING!

   Being the worry wart I am, I was so nervous about our condo since we booked it by seeing pictures on the Internet.  Each unit is individually owned, but ours is great!!  It is a typical beached theme condo!  It is really nice and we were very happy with our pick!  I am anxious to relax and enjoy this vacation!  I am sure I will be posting many more pictures!
