Where did the weekend go?

  Why is it that during the school year the weekends go by so fast?  I feel like a broken record, but this year is going to be a long one.... :(  Poor Brent, I just got home and had a breakdown; first angry and complaining, which turned into crying and whining.  I am thankful he is here and will let me just let it all out!  Man oh man I am definitely going to savor my weekends even more!

  This weekend was one that I had been waiting on since February 17th (my birthday).  Brent got me tickets to see Katy Perry and this weekend was finally the weekend for it.

   This is us on our way, so excited!  This was Kelsie's first non country concert!  Boy was she looking forward to this!  Brittany and I had just finished our first week of school, Kelsie was preparing to start her first week at SIU-C and my mom had just finished a week of working in kindergarten helping out her daughter! (What a great mom!)  So we were all pretty pumped and ready for some Katy Perry!

   Before the concert we decided to enjoy some Casa, including a pitcher of strawberry margaritas! YUM!

Pictures in the bathroom? Why not!  This is Kelsie, my amazing cousin who I love so much!  We are 8 years apart, but we are close!  When she was born I slept on the floor next to her crib!  I feel like the older we get the closer we get.  Now she has moved to SIU-C and I am not sure she will come back....but I think I am going to be spending some weekends in Carbondale now :)






  Now the moment we had been waiting for....KATY PERRY!  She was AWESOME!  She played for 2 hours and 15 minutes....hands down best.concert.ever!  She put on an awesome show and I woke up without a voice the next day from singing at the top of my lungs.  Next time she is anywhere near here I will be first in line to get my tickets, on the floor, as close to her as possible!  She not only has a kick ass singing voice, kick ass songs, but she interacts with the crowd, is an amazing dancer, and has the best costume changes.  I just could go on and on, so great!
  It was a great thing to do to start the school year off!  Now I am looking forward to the arrival of Henry!  I am a week ahead on my lesson plans, for the most part, in hopes he will be here THIS WEEK!  I am sure Cassie is more than ready for him to be here, so hopefully this weekend I will get to hold him :) Pray for them that it happens, and happens soon, and that everything goes smoothly!
